I really like episode 3, I think it's the first time we see some Jack&Bea realisation from...Jack & Bea (and an almost date to see 'The Shop Girls'!) and all the elements of the series are starting to come together - the bobs, the flat above the studio, dressmaking as a career etc.
I can't help thinking though that if anyone had come to Bea from HoE and demanded a pay rise or they were quitting she'd have shown them the door too! That woman's got balls of steel.
Hurrah for the bobs! Whilst sorry to see Molly go, it's good to see Tilly getting more screentime. I really like Piggy, certainly Bea seems to enjoy herself a lot more when he's around! Interesting end to the episode...
Tilly looks like a little Victorian urchin in some of her scenes, she's so ickle and in that smock too, looks about 8 years old bless her! Love how she was always there, helping, being a part of it all.
Ah, Piggy - he certainly did make Bea laugh, more so than she ever does afterwards but clearly he's just friend material. I have to say, Bea running down a hill afer a kite is a thing of joy though! *g*
I really feel Bea's rage in this episode at her father, her rage at Arthur is palpable! She really is a fearsome character, I love her so.
Think I found Evie more interesting when I watched originally but then I would've been closer to her age. 20 years on, I can certainly sympathise with and appreciate Bea more :P
I remember wanting to look like Evie more, but I alwys loved Bea the most. I seem to have a thing for firey female characters!
One of the reasons I grow to dislike Evie is during her affair with Alexander she never stops to remember how she felt/how Bea felt on meeting Mrs Whatsit and what their Father had done to their mother. Bah.
